Howard has over 40 years experience as a board director, senior corporate officer, consultant and guru to the management and boards of leading, world-class companies.  His focus is on the creation and development of knowledge, team power and share value for Capital Markets Board clients. 

He was founder and CEO of Christensen & Associates, an international capital markets firm, which still bears his name.  During his 20-years at the helm of the firm, he fostered the use of advanced perception research to develop strategic plans and best practice investor relations programs that attracted long-term investors and retained their interest.  He provided leadership training and development programs for executives and board directors that emphasized results, proper use of resources and the benefits of collaboration and team power. 

Howard is an accounting and finance graduate of the University of Iowa.  He began his career with Arthur Andersen where he was a manager with responsibilities for audit and consulting engagements.  Howard then went on to the corporate side where he served as chief financial officer and corporate secretary for St. Joseph Light & Power Company and chief strategic planning officer for American Natural Resources, also heading its renowned investor relations and financial communication program.  He was a member of the board of Protection One and was chairman of the compensation committee.

A frequent guest lecturer, Howard has provided educational and motivational presentations for chapter, regional and national meetings and conferences.  He is a frequent guest on financial news radio talk shows and has many published articles and advisory documents.
